Interview 20: The God of Beauty

Our latest edition of FrontLine is called, “The God of Beauty.” Most of us probably have some idea of what beauty is, although we also probably don’t agree with each other on every assessment of beauty one might make. These disagreements lead some to conclude that beauty is entirely subjective, inside myself, basically “what I like.” This view can lead to some pretty bizarre ideas about what is beautiful… at least that’s my opinion!Well, what if there were an objective standard of beauty? That would be helpful and might settle a few disagreements. That’s what this issue of the magazine is about.We believe that God reveals the truth about beauty in the Bible. Our authors will help you think about this topic as the foundation for making wise decisions in our churches and homes.
