The MIC runs the JB Marks bursary which has provided 590 bursaries to children/ dependants of workers in the mine industry. The JB Marks bursary allows students to study a degree at a university of their choice without having to pay back the bursary. The MIC also equips small farmers with skill in Mpumalanga. The MIC also has an incubator that equips up and coming business persons with skills. Mary, who is also a chartered accountant, also has words of encouragement for young people.
