We awkwardly perched on the end of sofas with performance artist and musician CHRISTEENE to discuss music, releasing albums, live shows, meat masks, her cat and muse Tickles Pickles, being a disruptor, stank downs, Peaches, connecting with crowds & a whole load more. We also discuss her forthcoming SOLD OUT show at The Barbican, The Lion, The Witch & The Cobra. This world premiere will see her perform Sinéad O’Connor’s The Lion and the Cobra with her live band, friends and allies and pays homage to O’Connor for ‘her capacity to survive, her private and very public wars, her compassion and vulnerability’, Galvanised into action by her rallying cry, CHRISTEENE is joined by her band led by Peter Stopschinski, dancers T Gravel and Dawg Elf and special guest Fever Ray.
