Interview: 'Climate change is massive global problem and we need to be all in' - Dr Kate Wylie

from Climate Conversations · host Robert McLean

Dr Kate Wylie (pictured) is a South Australian General Practitioner who, in colloquial terms, has "stepped up to the plate" to do what she can to combat the world's ever-worsening climate crisis. She sees climate change as a massive global problem that can only be resolved if we are "all in", that is with each of us doing what we can, using our skills to make the world a safer and more secure place. Some three years ago, Kate was left feeling somewhat distressed after reading the latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and so wrote and compiled he own website "Climate Medicine". It was there that Kate articulated the 10 actions people could take to tackle the climate crisis. The climate crisis can be tackled in many ways, but first, Kate argues, is that people need to become aware of what is and isn't happening and to do that she recommends people visit the NASA website, go to the Climate Council website, or visit the Bureau of Meteorology website. Enjoy "Music for a Warming World".
