Interview: Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy

Drumming for possibly the biggest prog-metal band in the world isn't enough for Mike Portnoy. Furiously motivated, he's not just the Dream Theater drummer - he also co-produces their albums, writes lyrics, designs artwork and more. It's not all Theater, either; he plays in prog-rock supergroups such as Liquid Tension and Transatlantic, and if that too weren't enough, he's also in four insanely-happening tribute bands - including Beatles act Yellow Matter Custard. During a massive Dream Theater tour, Portnoy checked in with MusicRadar to discuss the band and his love of playing the music of his heroes.
