Interview: Elisabeth (Vocals) of Erzsébet

Playing symphonic black metal, but amalgamated with a theatrical nuance, Erzsébet’s path began in 2020. Forging an identity that would lead to their first EP, ‘The Blasphemous Lady’ and basing it around the history and myth of Countess Elizabeth Báthory. Aiming to showcase themselves as a band that combines dark, symphonic, aggressive and horrendous elements that transport listeners to a dimension in which horror coexists with beauty. Following live shows, supporting slots, and playing at festivals, Erzsébet locked themselves back in the studio and set about shaping their debut full-length album, ‘Six Hundred & Fifty’. A concept album that focuses on the darkest era of the noble aristocrat, being blamed for six hundred and fifty deaths and being condemned for it. ‘Six Hundred & Fifty’ was released in June 2024 via Whispering Voice Records. We spoke to Erzsébet about the album and delve into the concept of the band alongside that.
