Interview Episode 8: Mark Barkan

from the Millennial Throwback Machine · host Sam Williams

For this week's episode of the podcast, since it is episode number 80, I'm going to do a very special interview episode of this podcast. I'm gonna be talking to somebody who has written a handful of hit songs back int he 60's, but the amount of hit songs he has written equals to the amount of history that he has within a very historically important and special time frame in music, when he was writing and recording demos, he was involved in this magical and exciting musical atmosphere where such famous songwriters such as Carole King and Burt Bacharach and Neil Diamond worked out of, and that was known as the Brill Building. If you are already not familiar with the Brill Building, and you don't really know anything about it. Brace Yourself because you are about to receive the education of a lifetime about it with this specific interview episode of this podcast. but just in case you don't know what we are talking about when we mention certain songs that he has written in the past, here are the links to those songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7zUjBOp-1E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09qLEYB8e0A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90RctK8E3L4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yqAaejuRn8 You Can Also Follow me and reach out to me On Instagram right here: https://www.instagram.com/iheartoldies/ You Can Also Check Out More of my original music right here: http://www.samwilliamsmusic.net Please do also check out the official Spotify and Youtube Playlists for this podcast.
