In this soulful and captivating episode of Talk2TheHand, we sit down with the amazing Errol Reid, frontman of 90s sensation, China Black. Errol shares fascinating behind-the-scenes stories about the creation of their music and the incredible experiences that came with it.  We talk about Errol's beginnings, him moving to London to follow his dream, and him finding himself singing in smoky rooms. We find out how China Black were formed, and why they ended up having to buy the song Searching back from the record label who went bankrupt owing them money. While still working in a 9 to 5 job, Errol was called into his manager’s office as he'd been heard being interviewed on the radio, and then had to ask his boss for the afternoon off so he perform on Top of the Pops alongside Oasis and Let Loose. Fans soon learned where Errol was working and began pitching up looking for autographs. Balancing his 'normal' career with his new-found stardom, Errol talks about the challenges of managing family life and surviving on two hours sleep. He recounts how singing a World Cup Theme song led to him singing at Twickenham, but cost China Black a tour with Janet Jackson The names Errol has worked with are astounding. China Black supported the likes of Jamiroquai, Dina Carroll, and R Kelly. Post China Black, Errol shared amazing moments with Barry White, Tom Jones, Swedish House Mafia, and over a decade with the Bee Gees Robin Gibb. Errol had the pleasure of meeting Princess Diana, had his voice in an Inbetweeners movie and Love Island, and is a featured vocalist on Hannah Laing & HVRR's smash hit Party All The Time. The man whose name has been up in lights at Wembley has hilarious and insightful stories to tell, and we were privileged to hear them first hand.  Beyond the music, Errol Reid has a unique perspective on the music industry and its impact on artists. He discusses the challenges and triumphs of navigating the industry over the years, offering invaluable insights to aspiring musicians and music enthusiasts.
