Interview: Gints Zilbalodis (Away)

AFA Contributor Evan Vernon (making his podcast debut) spoke with Latvian filmmaker Gints Zilbalodis,  director, animator, editor, producer and writer on the one-man feature film Away (opening in UK and Ireland cinemas on August 28). During the fascinating conversation, Gints discusses his path to animation and how he came to embark on such an ambitious project at such a young age. He also talks about why he made certain decisions when making the film, and his key influences, which include animators, live-action filmmakers and even videogame designers.
