INTERVIEW: Matt Johnson on animal liberation and Direct Action Everywhere

In this August 16, 2017 interview radio journalist Dan Young speaks with with Matt Johnson, the Press Coordinator and Organzier for the SF Bay Area chapter of Direct Action Everywhere (DxE). DxE is an international grassroots network of animal rights activists founded in 2013. Johnson's chapter of DxE recently received international media attention related to a protest campaign the group mounted in Berkeley, California against a business called The Local Butcher. Young and Johnson talk in depth about both that Berkeley campaign, but also cover DxE's goals, world view, and history.
