Interview: New Skeletal Faces

California death-rockers New Skeletal Faces will release their new album, ‘Until the Night’ on November 1st, 2024, via Peaceville (their label debut). The trio that makes up the garish look and sound of New Skeletal Faces formed in 2017, and have been spreading the darkness of their reanimated ‘death rock’ sound since then. 2019‘s Celestial Disease album woke the dead, but it’s this new release that gets the creaky bones and rotted flesh well and truly moving. Think seductive & hypnotic gothic vibes fused with early Swedish black metal and Sunset Strip style heavy metal. It’s hellacious, but that’s exactly how New Skeletal Faces like it. We spoke to two out of three of the band, specifically Errol Fritz (vocals/guitar) and Don Void (drums), about the new album and everything that went into making it a reality.
