Interview: Putting the Pieces of 'Unself' Together with Dani (Vocals / Guitar) of Conjurer

Conjurer, one of the UK’s most vital and uncompromising metal bands, return with their third album 'Unself', out 24th October via Nuclear Blast Records. A bright and brilliant showcase of their evolution, one that comes via personal upheaval. Notably, the voyage of discovery unfurling for vocalist/guitarist Dani Nightingale. Diagnosed with autism at age 31, their long-held view of self, and perception of their place in the world began to unravel. Unself documents much of the piecing back together around the diagnosis, alongside the realisation they were non-binary. It’s darker, more vulnerable and more purposeful, a raw exploration of belonging and disconnection against a collapsing modern world.
