Remco de Jong was bijna 18 jaar lang politierechercheur en maakte daarbij verschillende moorzaken van dichtbij mee. Begin dit jaar koos hij voor een opmerkelijke carrièreswitch: hij werd dominee op Urk. De kersverse dominee staat echter slechts een paar keer op de kansel omdat door het coronavirus de kerkdeuren begin maart worden gesloten. Remco vertelt dat hij als agent erg op z'n strepen kon gaan staan en heel zwart-wit was in zijn denken. In de loop der jaren is hij steeds meer met de ogen van God naar mensen gaan kijken. In gesprek met Jan van den Bosch legt hij uit hoe dat proces is gegaan.
