Interview: Tesla 'champion' says rising fuel prices have sharpened interest in electric car

from Climate Conversations · host Robert McLean

Trish Randles (pictured with her prized Tesla) is an enthusiast of the Tesla electric car and we met when she had her personal car on display at the recent Bendigo Sustainability Festival. This was the second year Trish and her husband had shown their car at the festival and Trish says the questions and interest had changed dramatically. She said that a year ago the car was simply a novelty, but now, because of the sharp rise in the cost of fossil fuels, many of the questions were of a more practical nature with many people trying to figure out how they could make the switch from their fossil fuel-powered car to an all-electric vehicle.
