Interview: The Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne

As frontman and leader of The Flaming Lips, Wayne Coyne has cornered the market on unruly, hallucinogenic albums. His debut as a film director has yielded something no less trippy: Christmas On Mars. "It's a holiday movie, but one you can enjoy any time," says Coyne. "My main artistic goal is to alter one's senses, so if I can put you in the Christmas mood in August, then I've succeeded."
