INTERVIEW: Valarie Allman After Defending Her Olympic Gold Medal In The Discus, Why This Medal Means More

from The CITIUS MAG Podcast | A Running + Track and Field Show · host CITIUS MAG

Valarie Allman just became the first American woman to win back-to-back gold medals in the women's discus. She took the lead with a 68.74m throw that put her in first place and she never relinquished it. She had four throws that would have won the competition. Her best throw went 69.50m, which won the competition by nearly two meters. We had a chance to speak with her and coach Zebulon Sion at Asics House in Paris just two days after her historic victory.
