Interview With Ashton Nyte, Frontman Of The Goth Alternative Rock Band, The Awakening

It was wonderful to chat with the Dark Romantic himself, Ashton Nyte, the singer, songwriter and frontman of South Africa's most prominent gothic alternative rock band, the Awakening. He has released six solo albums, one as Ashton Nyte And The Accused and nine albums as the Awakening. He has collaborated with various artists  such as MGT (Mark Gemini Thwaite, English guitarist for Peter Murphy and the Mission). He recently completed a 36 date European Tour with Wayne Hussey of the Mission in 2019 and he has also collaborated with Michael Ciravolo's Beauty in Chaos project, just to name a few. He has written numerous songs, performed and organized philanthropic events such as the "Rock Against Rape" concert series to benefit women's rights groups and a lecture series at US universities focusing on tolerance and acceptance.Ashton is currently completing his 7th solo album to be released in July 20, 2020 called Waiting for a Voice, an album and book.
