After a fight during which he and Meriel broke up, he went over to another woman’s place. There, he received a call from Meriel which he hoped was purely a ploy to lure him back. But this, sadly, was not the case. She had called to tell him she smothered her own 3 year old daughter Lela to death with a pillow.
