Interview with Daniel Hustwit

In this episode of The Living Artist, Preston interviews Los Angeles artist Daniel Hustwit, with a special guest appearance from Miss X. Daniel is an extremely talented painter and is currently in the middle of a fantastic and thought-provoking Solo Show at ShockBoxx gallery entitled "Diarealism: An Unbearable Art Movement", which is up until the 23rd of March. In this wide-ranging conversation, Daniel talks to Preston about developing and executing the body of work for his show, his unique blend of pop culture and fine art in his work, the importance of being passionate (and sometime subversive), his origins in art and criminal justice, distillation as opposed to dilution, being "California sober", recently having his instagram account blown up by the Arsty algorithm, and so much more.
