In this episode, we talked with Diego Prats, Principal R&D DFINITY Foundation.Diego was born and grow up in Tijuana (Mexico), he is a software engineer and product manager with an emphasis on platform growth. He studied Applied Math & Economics at Harvard University and is a PhD dropout in Operations Research Engineering from USC. Previously he co-founded a privacy-focused PaaS for serverless applications and was VP of Growth & Product Engineering at Overnight. He has been entrepreneur since his twenties and he has been working as a Software engineer and product manager focused on protocols, growth, platforms, and marketplaces. He has led teams of engineers, cryptographers, and designers in blockchain, consumer and B2B apps. He joined DFINITY Foundation in 2018 and he has been working in different manager roles: engineering manager, product, consensus team, networking team, SDK team, design team, community and currently R&D Special Projects team.The DFINITY Foundation is a not-for-profit organization based in Zurich, Switzerland, and operates research centers in Palo Alto, San Francisco, Shanghai and Zurich. The DFINITY Foundation is a major contributor to the Internet Computer blockchain.
