In this episode of Band Banta, I chat with Johnny Took, guitarist and songwriter of the Australian band DMA's. After a three-year break, DMA'S returned, releasing their self-titled fifth studio album in August 2026. As Johnny explains throughout the interview, the album goes back to the DIY roots of DMA'S, and includes some familiar sounds fans have got to know and love. During the chat, Johnny shares some insights into the creation of the album, including their experience writing in Nashville and self-producing the majority of the record.
