Interview with Dr Jasmine Harris on racial inequality

In this episode, Matthew talks to Dr Jasmine Harris - an Associate Professor of Sociology at Ursinus College. Jasmine holds a Ph.D in Sociology from the University of Minnesota, a Masters degree in Public Communications from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Dr. Harris’ research, writing, and teaching, focus on the impacts of racism and racial inequality on Black communities and Black people as individuals, particularly when living and working in predominantly white institutional settings. Her examination of academic experiences among DI football and men’s basketball players has appeared in the Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Houston Chronicle, and Philadelphia Inquirer.
