Ashraf Fouad is an Egyptian composer who teaches composition and theory at The American University in Cairo (AUC). He graduated from The Academy of Arts in Cairo and The Juilliard School of Music, where he advanced to DMA studies with David Diamond. Recent performances of Fouad’s music have occurred in Cairo, Alexandria, Washington DC, Chicago, New York, Dublin, London, Vienna, and Budapest. Awards for his works have come from The Kennedy Center, the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
