Interview with Hattie Mills- LETU Volleyball Player and Blogger Talks About Mental Health Stigma in College

from Four Minutes with Fiona · host Fiona Hatton

Today I talked with Hattie Mills, a volleyball player at LeTourneau University who recently started a blog to chronicle her healing journey. Like most college athletes, Hattie had some difficulty with the transition from high school to college. She cited stigma as a main reason she did not open up to her coaches and teammates sooner. We had a great conversation about being vulnerable, reaching out to teammates, and what she thinks should be done to better support student athlete mental health! A must listen episode that will be relatable to any current or retired athlete!
