Interview with James Williams

from OneSharpSword · host Dr. Wayne Pernell, CEO and Founder, DynamicLeader, Inc.

James Williams is one of the best High-Performance coaches that I know. A longtime friend from the High-Performance community, James and I have been on Facebook Lives together as The Socially Ambitious Chatterboxes. His insights here guide us to new heights! James reminds us not to believe the expectations that others have for us.  He noted that though he stayed in a job too long, staying shaped who he became and that our history serves us.  He noted that he got “average” because he was focused on average and that his life changed when he focused on more.  He stepped into his purpose and began to build his legacy.   Your purpose directs your thoughts.   James challenges us to Live Consciously and notes that doing so can be exhausting. Letting go of judgment is important, especially if you choose to step into the life of the entrepreneur.   Remember that no matter the situation, you always have a choice in how you respond to that situation. Your responsibility is to recognize your response-ability. Build “the business of me.” James reflects on hiking as a metaphor noting that when things are the hardest is when you’re about to breakthrough!
