Interview with Karl Morten Dahl, founder of the post-punk, coldwave project, Antipole
from DJ Nocturna Presents Queen of Wands · host DJ Nocturna
I had the pleasure to speak with Karl Morten Dahl, the founder of Norway's dark electronic post-punk project, ANTIPOLE. Antipole is guitar-driven evocative hypnotic post-punk/wave mixed with synths and drum machines. Antipole is Karl Morten Dahl, featuring Paris Alexander and Eirene. Drawing inspiration from classic post punk records of 1983, Antipole started as a solo project for Dahl. He released an instrumental 8-song EP called "Panoply. Songs for AC" in 2014, an album, dedicated to his inspirational muse, his girlfriend, Anne Christel. The albums that followed are "Getting Frequent Now (2017)," then the debut album released on Unknown Pleasures Records called "Northern Flux (2017)," " Perspectives (2018)," followed, a series of remixes by Ash Code, Agent Side Grinder, Kill Shelter, Delphine Coma, IAMTHESHADOW, Warsaw Pact, just to name a few. Then "Radial Glare (2019)" on Young and Cold Records. Currently Antipole remixed Clan of Xymox' Loneliness. https://antipole.bandcamp.comhttps://www.facebook.com/antipolebandhttps://www.instagram.com/antipoleband
