Interview with Margaret Davis | Ep #13

In this episode Mary and Margaret focus on strategies for parents of middle school children, and how best to support our kids in their efforts to adjust back to school this fall of 2021. Last year, kids were in school in lots of different ways because of the pandemic, so Mary and Margaret talk about how we can support our students through another confusing new time. We need to be patient with our kids, setting them up with different routines to help them be successful. Margaret goes on to discuss the "wins" students gained from last year through COVID: adapting to a lot of change, learning to be more independent, etc. and how by focusing on our students' strengths we set them up for success back at school. Mary ends by emphasizing the importance of advocating for our kids and partnering with our teachers.
