Interview with Miami's Republican Mayor Tomas Regalado

Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado asked the first question about Climate Change in 10 GOP Presidential Debates last week to his preferred candidate Marco Rubio. Miami was the only south Florida municipality represented in last year's Paris Conference. It took Mayor Regalado three months to ask that question, by joiningwith South Miami Mayor Stoddard, Pinecrest Mayor Lerner and the Mayor Cason of Coral Gables and the mayors of Cutler Bay and Pinecrest who wrote a letter to Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio asking them to acknowledge climate change and sea level rise, without getting an answer, three months before last week's debate. The group of mayors sent that letter to CNN. Two days before the debate, Jake Tapper of CNN contacted Regalado, and luckily the question did get asked. This interview explores Rubio's answer, and the answers of the four Republican Presidential candidates. Regalado only gave Rubio and Kasich passing marks, as Trump is a climate denier and so is Ted Cruz. We also discussed the City of Miami's lawsuit against Florida Power and Light for it's high energy power-line plan for South Dixie Highway, and the City of Miami's upcoming claims against FP&L for dumping Tritium into the waters of Biscayne Bay.
