Interview with Pixar Director Peter Sohn of Elemental

On this SPECIAL EDITION of The Movie Podcast, we're joined by Pixar Director PETER SOHN of ELEMENTAL. The film is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in. The story is inspired by Sohn's experiences as the son of immigrants in New York City in the 1970s. Peter Sohn joined Pixar Animation Studios in September 2000, and is the Vice President of Creative at the studio. In addition to his contributions as a filmmaker, Sohn has lent his voice talents to films such as Ratatouille, Monsters University, Lightyear, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Elemental releases exclusively in theatres June 16, 2023 by Walt Disney Pictures.
