Interview with Shane Keegan, the new Head of Laois GAA Coaching and Games

County underage squads, schools hurling and football, Go Games and Setanta and O'Moore Og programmes were all up for discussion when Shane Keegan, Laois GAA's new Head of Coaching and Games, dropped into us for an interview last week.  Rathdowney native Keegan has recently been appointed to the key full-time role in Laois GAA, taking over the role previously filled by Mike Henchy, though it now has a slightly different title.  Keegan has been the full-time Games Promotion Officer in Portlaoise GAA for the past 15 months but this promotion sees him take charge of the entire coaching operation in Laois.  In a wide-ranging chat, he discusses what his remit is, what he'd like to achieve, how Laois compares to other counties and the challenges and opportunities of the role.  This episode is available to listen to free of charge - if you would like to get all the LaoisToday Talking Sports podcasts and our premium sports coverage, you can subscribe here.
