Author, Inspirational Speaker, Mental Health Advocate, Survivor, and just 23 years old. Victoria Caputo is a new, local author from Port Chester, New York. Her book "Trust Me: Through the Eyes of a Survivor" tells her story with mental illness and how she has overcome these obstacles to go on and help others who struggle. Victoria Caputo was born in Port Chester, New York. At the age of 9 she moved to Greenwich, Connecticut, where she was thrown into new surroundings, new people, and new problems. Victoria was diagnosed with a variety of mental health issues in seventh grade, including Anxiety, Depression and Borderline Personality Disorder. Since then, she has struggled, survived, and overcame the numerous obstacles both life and mental illness present. Victoria went on to study English and Creative Writing at Sacred Heart University, graduating with her Bachelors in May of 2017. Just this past May, she graduated from Sacred Heart with her Masters in the Arts of Teaching.
