Say bye. We'll see you all later. Hi, this is Sylvia Stein from The Daily with Silstein. I'm here at the Great Lakes Book Bash.
We've already begun. The keynote was just done by the amazing MR Polish or Misty Polish. I'll have more updates as we go. Again, this is Sylvia Stein from The Daily here on Anchor.
We'll talk to you all later. Well, this is Sylvia Stein from The Daily with Silstein right now. I'm outside. But we just have the keynote by MR Polish or Misty Polish and Rachel Brownnell, who hosted the Great Lakes Book Bash.
Right now, we're doing that event. And this is Sylvia Stein from The Daily with Silstein. We're outside and getting ready to begin. It's going to be an exciting two days.
So if you're in the Michigan area in Kalamazoo, we're in the Radisson Plaza Hotel. I hope you all come and join all the authors for this fun event here at the Great Lakes Book Bash. Talk to you all later. Hi, this is Sylvia Stein coming to you from the Great Lakes Book Bash 2017.
I have another amazing author, CC Dragon. And I'm going to have her talk about her stuff. And here we are on Anchor. And here she is.
Thank you everybody. Thanks so much for listening. I'm CC Dragon and I primarily write Cozy Mysteries, usually paranormal. So I was at the Anchor series, which features a psychic.
And her psychics are a drug queen and an ex priest. In New Orleans, she solves murders and hauntings and others, angels and demons and ghosts and everything you can think of. Book Five just dropped last week. So there's plenty to binge on if you like to read a bunch of series books together.
And also if you like more hardcore paranormal like witches, it's also Cozy Mysteries, but it's vampires and shifters and hot wizards and that's the Witches Group Cozy Mysteries series. It's Pick Your Potion is Book One, Spell What is it about this event, CC Dragon that you love, that you love to, about the Great Lakes Book Bash or events like this that brings you, that draws you into this? Well this one particularly I like because it's all genre welcoming. There's a lot of romance.
I do write, you know, there's romance included, but you have people who look for everything and want don't judge us as a specific genre, but it's all genre welcoming. And there's kids, and I have little tattoos for kids and little fortune tellers and stuff that it's kid friendly, so we try to make it all fun. And that's what Cozy Mysteries are. It's clean, but it's still crazy, mystery, murder, awesome.
No, it's great because I've been trying to record on the daily, on anchor, I do it to kind of introduce different authors and like writing tips stuff. So it's nice to see the different sides of your writing, especially with the Charlene Harris, you know, in her vampire series. I'm just waiting, I'm here on our team, I guess she's so nice. She's with the kindness lady in her butt.
You've been sitting out there with a whole bunch of readers in the hotel after a long signing, she was just so sweet. Wow, it's like a, you know, like vampire diary, all these series that show the supernatural, stuff like that. So it's awesome to see that. And is that your author name, right?
The CC Dragon. I also write Hotter Stuff as Cheryl Dragon. I started writing Hot Stuff and more steamy romance before, first I've been writing Hotter for 10 years. So I've been doing this for a little bit, and that's my two different names.
So Cheryl's my author's name, so I answered to that. Okay, okay, well Cheryl, sorry. We're CC either one. I am CC and Cheryl.
And I'm really grateful you're taking the time, because I know you're doing your thing with the author stuff here, but this is the Daily Whistlestein. I want to make sure to try to get as many authors as I can. So I'm really grateful you took the time. Thanks, I'm a Soviet hiker.
And thank you. And everyone listening to the Daily Whistlestein, I will post this and upload it, and then I'll tag you on there. And I will also try to get CC Dragon on our show for a full interview in the future. I would love to have you.
But thank you for taking the time. And here we are at the Great Lakes Book Bash. We'll sign off for now. Bye-bye.
Hi, this is Sylvia from the Daily Whistlestein here on Anchor. I have another amazing author, K.S. Atkins, here at the Great Lakes Book Bash. And I want to have her talk a little bit about herself.
Hey, K.S., thank you for joining us on the Daily here today. And thank you for taking the time. Oh, thank you. I am a native of Detroit.
I write romantic suspense. Hey. And this is my second year here. And I think total, I have 19 books published.
Wow. And this is probably the only event I really sign at, because I love the people. And I love the atmosphere. Everyone's been amazing.
Yourself included. Oh, thank you. And so I hope you get a lot of readers. That's a great event.
Yes. I think you have bands waiting for you over here, readers and stuff. But what can you share about your writings about? Like, what do you want people to take away from this event that you do when you do it and of your books?
Well, I write in the first person. I do dual point of views. And for the most, I have a couple books that are straight romance. But most I write romantic suspense.
And you spend any time with me. And then you read me. You'll realize I write like I talk. It's pretty straightforward.
Merry dialogue. How do you read like movies? Some more than anything. And you're going to take anything away from my books.
I think they're just a wild ride. Oh, just fun. They're easy to read. They're not real dark.
They're pretty violent. Love swearing. Good sex. But that's how people talk though.
I mean, that's like a real world day. And every book I write is based in my hometown of Detroit. Oh, awesome. Every single one.
And it features a different part of the city than everyone. And then in every book, there are real pieces of my life inside the books. That's amazing. That's amazing.
So if people want to connect with you, and I'll hopefully invite you back for an ink, I want to invite everyone back for a full interview on Anker here on The Daily Web. So sign as short in my name as you notice. But where would we be able to communicate with you? If you're a reader trying to connect with you or you're trying your books?
Well, right now my books are on Amazon. I haven't stretched out to do anything else yet. But Facebook is great. It's under my pen name.
I have a personal page and an author page. And I respond within a minute. So that's what you'll get. So thank you for taking the time at the Great Lakes Book Fest amazing talking to you.
And I hope to have you back on for a full interview. Thank you for joining us here on Anker. And it's still here from The Daily. Signing off.
Bye bye.
