Intimacy with God - Speaking to God

Being in the Spirit God wants intimacy with us just like any parent would like to have with their children. In order for intimacy to happen, those involved need to be willing to surrender to each other, to “give themselves up” in order to value the interests of the others. God showed us His willingness and desire to do this by having Jesus die for us while we were still His enemies (Rom 5:6-9). Now He calls us to die to self to be “in the spirit” in order to pursue intimacy with Him. In this lesson, we will examine what “being in the Spirit” is all about.
