Springfield, Virginia residents Janelle Hull and her daughter Amaya are thrilled when they are able to move out of their rough and tumble neighborhood into the beautiful, upscale community of Bedstraw Court. Initially, they’re given a warm welcome by their new neighbors, including Sara Hetle, but for some unknown reason her husband Michael gives them the cold shoulder. More troubling, as the women settle into their new lives they find themselves constantly harassed for minor or even imaginary infractions by the local Homeowner’s Association. As the complaints go on, they come to realize that Michael Hetle may be the cause... Tensions escalate between the neighbors and only get worse when Janelle marries and her new husband, Javon Prather, who soon finds himself immersed in the conflict with Michael.
