Introducing Jonathan Edwards! 1703 - 1758
from Vow on SermonAudio Hosted by Thomas Sullivan
Jonathan Edwards was far more than the solemn, fire-and-brimstone preacher history textbooks suggest—he was a teenage prodigy, a revolutionary thinker, and a man whose formidable intellect was consumed by a passion for the beauty and glory of God. From his radical youthful vowing to "live with all my might" and his fiery leadership during the Great Awakening, to his dignified posture when ousted by his own congregation and his groundbreaking writings on the frontier, Edwards' life stands as an unshakeable blueprint for intentional living. His story strips away modern excuses, daring us to trade digital distraction and passive drifting for a disciplined mind, unyielding convictions, and a life wholly devoted to what matters for eternity.
