In our very first episode, we make plenty of mistakes, but we also introduce "The Mothers" podcast and co-hosts Sara Brown & Veronica Wolanin, aka Vee. We lay out what to expect in early episodes (a lot of sausage making content + riffing on motherhood) vs over time, when this podcast will feature interviews with rockstar women who also happen to be mothers -- getting to know them, learn from them (please!) and help them reflect on their impressive lives through the lens of motherhood. How has being a mother shaped their ambitions, life choices, identity, sense of purpose? How have they sometimes lost and found themselves again? What helped them manage to “do it all” and what do they think about “having it all?” And how the heck are they, really!? We also go DEEP on the new movie Nightbitch with Amy Adams - why is it a horror film, what is it saying about identity, the importance of being able to communicate the experience of motherhood, and the general unfairness of it all -- but also the tremendous power mothers hold and the imperative to insist on your own joy!
