Introduction

Our first episode of the Advisor Podcast with guest Jason Giordano, CPA, MST, CVA. Jason is the managing partner of JGS, CPA. In this episode we introduce our firm and the podcast. We highlight that our firm is a full service, tax, accounting, business advisory firm. We focus on the manufacturing, food and beverage, professional services, medical industries. We have specialties in valuation, forensic accounting, estates and trusts, succession planning, 401K/benefit plan audits. We discusses the history of the firm. Founded in 1932 in Middletown. We have over 88 years servicing the Hudson Valley. We discussed that Jason is on of 4 managing partners in our history. We answered the question "What makes us different?" Planning, “getting in the weeds of our clients business” Our retention, longevity of our clients. Our first client is a client today. The same way we plan for our clients we have our own internal succession plan. We have partners in every age group. We discussed how we recently joined the BDO Alliance. Joining the Alliance, gives us access to an international network of people and firms through our membership in the BDO Alliance. Access to an alliance of CPA and consulting firms throughout the U.S. This still allows us to remain independent and locally owned. With access to the BDO Alliance we can enhance our client services and broaden our capabilities overall. It allows us to gain greater technical knowledge in specialty areas. Provide our clients with key contacts and sophisticated professionals throughout the U.S. Jason and Brian discussed an overview of what the Advisor Podcast. We hope to cover many topics in the world of tax, accounting and business advisory. As well as new changes to the tax law, R&D credits, opportunity zones, state and local tax issues and changes, Wayfair implications.
