The Apostle Paul was imprisoned in Rome when he wrote this epistle along with Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. Paul’s gentleness while proclaiming truth is apparent in this letter. God’s saving grace is the subject of Ephesians as Paul declares God’s truth with love to the believers in Ephesus. Truth and Love Truth and love aren’t at opposite ends of a spectrum as some would think. They work together beautifully. Truth is loving and love is truthful. Our new live in Christ is not just an emotional experience. We can know that we have new life in Christ Jesus. These foundational truths will appear again and again through our short study of Ephesians.
