What this episode covers
We’re talking about Epiphany. After the excitement and bustle of Christmas comes the Season of Epiphany. But Epiphany isn't some sort of letdown after Christmas and New Year's Day; rather, it is the time when, having celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ, we celebrate our own membership in His body. Advent is the beginning of the church year, so Epiphany might be considered its springtime, when everything is refreshed. In today’s podcast, we’ll hear from Sharon about Epiphany's major themes: light and revelation, baptism and anointing, discipleship and mission and then focus on the various ways we can celebrate Epiphany throughout the season. Sharon will reflect on the ways that Epiphany can enrich our lives and bring hope to the world in which we live.
