Larry Nisenson, SVP and Chief Commercial Officer at Genworth Financial, joins Suzanne for this show to discuss Genworth's trailblazing help for family caregivers. Nobody plans to be a caregiver – you're suddenly thrust into this role when you least expect it, and Larry has been through it twice. In this segment, Larry introduces Genworth, which originated long-term care policies more than 40 years ago. These policies help provide a way for people to finance their own aging. It takes the financial burden away, but it doesn't take the emotional burden away for caregivers. Larry's father had a long-term care policy but was still struck by all the other challenges.
