Introduction to Vision & Robotics: Shape Description

from Informatics: Informatics

Robotics and Vision applies AI techniques to the problems of making devices capable of interacting with the physical world. This includes moving around in the world (mobile robotics), moving things in the world (manipulation robotics), acquiring information by direct sensing of the world (e.g. machine vision) and, importantly, closing the loop by using sensing to control movement. This module introduces the basic concepts and methods in these areas, and serves as an introduction to the more advanced robotics and vision modules. Download the video podcast

We talk to the people who connect shop floors to the cloud — system integrators, consultants, researchers and plant engineers who deal with OT/IT convergence, industrial data platforms and digital twins every day. This podcast is about having conversations about what it actually takes to turn scattered production data into a reliable foundation for real-world use cases. New episodes drop regularly. Dick Moberg's Neural Network Dick Moberg Dick Moberg is an entrepreneur, inventor, and thought leader in the field of neurological monitoring systems. As a featured guest at neuroscience conferences worldwide, Dick speaks on topics such as healthcare informatics, physiologic monitoring of acute brain injury, and emergent trends in neurocritical care research. ”Dick Moberg’s Neural Network” is a compilation of interviews with some of the leading voices in the field of neurocritical care. Yale Certificate in Medical Software and Medical AI: Guest Experts Yale Biomedical Informatics & Data Science This is a set of interviews that were recorded as supplementary teaching material for both our new online Yale Certificate Program in Medical Software and Medical AI, and the original Yale/Coursera Class Introduction to Medical Software. The topics cover issues important to medical software and medical artificial intelligence, ranging from regulatory issues, to algorithm development and software engineering, to clinical implementation, and other related areas. We try to keep most of the material at the introductory to intermediate level. We hope that you feel them useful and educational. These interviews are also available in video form on YouTube. .For more information on the certificate program see: online.yale.edu/medical-software-ai-programThe audio theme is excerpted from the song <a href="https://artlist.io/royal
