Amid an existential crisis in the media industry, more and more newsrooms are foregoing investigative reporting, which can involve a lot of resources without the certainty of a payoff. But Sonia Randhawa, Co-Director of the Center for Independent Journalism argues that there should be continued funding for media investigations that hold power to account.
