Investing our Lives in People     John 15:12-13 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends   Laying down ones life for his friends.  Missionary goes and invests his life in the lives of others, Why?  Story – 5 Missionaries lost their lives in 1956 trying to reach AUCA or Huaorani  Nate Saint & Jim Eliot 3 others lost their lives – Made Popular by movie End of the Spear              Told from Perspective of Indians -             Papers in US and Europe carried Story -  What a waist?             Not a waste but investment  Lives like corn of wheat falls in to the ground  John 12:24                         Great Dividends -  Aucas nearly all Christians today & 100's of missionaries.   Love tell about Shuar Indians  Former Head hunters of Ecuador                         God allowed me to invest some of my life into them.                                     STORIES of evangelizing the Shuar – Eating, drinking, sleeping, movie                                     John 15:13             I remember quoting this verse to man in marriage counseling.                         Question:  Are you willing to lay down your life for your wife?                         Response:  Yes, but it's not dying for her but living with her that's problem.                  WE are not being called upon to loose or lives to die for each other.             But we are called to lay down our lives to love and serve one another. All know John 3:16 -  "For God so loved the World that he gave….               What about 1 John 3:16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us.
