Investing in Your Marriage

As we start our new Sunday teaching series, You. Me. We., guest speaker Pastor Mike Linch emphasizes how to invest in your marriage. God's way to a successful marriage focuses on what husbands and wives put into it, not on what they can get out of it through a process of sowing and reaping. "The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully." 2 Corinthians 9:6 "We" will never be greater than "me." The extent you're willing to grow yourself, is the extent your relationship will grow. The challenge: I'm willing to get out this relationship what I'm willing to put in it. The temptation after marriage is to focus on what I can get out of the relationship rather than focusing on what I can put into the relationship.
