Invitation to contend is a message that we are never living opposition-free—the battles and challenges are real and do exist. Fortunately, Jude (or Judah as pronounced) provides important historical factors and illustrations to consider. Judah provides a warning of the false teachers' influence upon the faith of believers. The threat of false teachers, particularly their way of life, and their loss of morality, as such, Jude presents a strong encouragement to contend for the true Christian faith. The reality is that we are all faced with compromises and dilemmas from the world in which we live. So, we must contend through faith and dedication to loving God!
