Iowa vs Northern Iowa: Tight Ends & QB Battle | Iowa Hawkeyes Football News

Iowa’s football team returns this weekend for a gritty showdown against Northern Iowa — no Cy-Hawk drama, but plenty of history and stakes. With QB uncertainty still hanging over Kirk Ferentz’s head, Hank Brown’s performance could be the deciding factor for the starting job heading into Big Ten play. Meanwhile, Iowa’s tight ends have been criminally underused all season — just 11 catches total — and with Northern Iowa’s defense weaker than Iowa State’s, it’s the perfect time to see if they finally get their shot. Plus, with Michigan looming next week, this game might be the reset Iowa needs. And don’t sleep on the Panthers — this is their first meeting in eight years, and they’re coming for every point on this rare national stage.
