Iran Executes Protester Amid Crackdown | US News

Iran executed Majid Adineh, a protester arrested in January, claiming he worked with U.S. and Israeli forces — a charge he allegedly confessed to after being shown evidence including a fired handgun, tasers, and gasoline. This marks the 29th execution linked to the January protests since March, with two more protesters reportedly killed in the same period. Human rights groups say Iran’s crackdown is escalating, while state media released what activists call a coerced confession — all amid Tehran’s blame game pointing fingers at foreign powers for fueling unrest.
