Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is currently operating from a highly secure and undisclosed location, leading to significant delays in ongoing peace negotiations to end the war with the United States and Israel. Following the death of his father and predecessor, Ali Khamenei, on the first day of the conflict, and after sustaining severe facial and leg injuries himself, Mojtaba has implemented extreme precautionary measures to avoid assassination. He has not been seen or heard from publicly since the war began.To conceal his whereabouts, Khamenei has cut off direct contact with even the highest-ranking Iranian officials. Communication with him is maintained exclusively through a complex labyrinth of couriers.
