Iraqi - Kurdistan After The Battle Of Mosul

The battle for Mosul is ongoing with full force, forming part of an international coalition force against IS. But what happens in the region after IS' eventual fall? And what will the future bring for the Kurdistan Regional Government? To reflect on these issues, we invited: Hoshyar Siwaily – head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s (KDP) Foreign Relations Office Hoshyar Siwaily joined us directly from Iraq with the latest updates from the field. We also focused on the regional and international aspects. Introductions were given by Chalak Kaveh, who holds a PhD in history from the University of Oslo. He is currently working on a book about Kurdistan and will draw the backdrop of the night's debate. Moderator was Stig Arild Pettersen, a well-known journalist and podcast host (DuVerden!).
