From 1993 to 1998, at least eight women disappeared within an 80-mile radius of Dublin. Police were stumped at the complete lack of evidence suggesting where the women could be or who could be involved. Irish police undertook searches and made widespread public appeals for information in most cases. Law enforcement treated each case individually, but in the eyes of the public, there seemed to be a possible connection.
